My name is Joseph M. Rice and I'm a third generation welder and metal fabricator.  I developed a passion for working with metal at a young age and knew this was the career field for me. I started welding in 1999 and worked at several different shops through grade school and college, obtaining valuable experience working under master metal workers.

After graduating in 2009 from the University Of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing, I began working full-time at high end ironwork shops where I sharpened my welding skills and helped with the management and training of new hires. Although I enjoyed my work at these companies, I always had a dream of owning my own business and having the freedom to pursue different areas of metal working. In 2015, I started Blue Cat Welding.

I look forward to what the future holds and I thank God for leading me and putting the right people in my path who have helped me make my dream become a reality. I have been blessed to be part of so many welding and metal fabricating projects and seeing the joy that the finished products bring to my customers. I hope that God will continue to allow me to help others with the craft I love.
